Memorial Day 2011

In the United States, the last Monday in May is observed as Memorial Day.  For Americans this is a day to remember and honor those brave men and women who lost their lives while serving their country in times of war.  It also marks the unofficial start of the summer holiday season.  When picnic blankets, shorts, swimsuits, sundresses and flip-flops are taken out of storage and winter jackets are put in.  A season of family get-togethers, fun outdoor events and lots and lots of fresh summer fruit!

Clockwise from the top:

A very heartfelt Thank You to all who serve, have served and will serve to protect my freedom.  Especially my big brother.  -Marcela
