We just launched our new collection of industrialized accessories!  We had so much fabric remnants and cuttings from our handmade scarves we did not know what to do with them.  Of course throwing them away was out of the question, Earth Day after all is this week.  Some of the pieces from the new collection are made from the beautifully patterned reclaimed fabrics we had on hand and re-created them into braided bracelets.  My sister and I have been planning for some time to use textiles in our jewelry design and the use of the industrial hardware was inspired after watching (for what probably was the millionth time) one of my favorite short-lived television series, Firefly (Serenity to some).  It was created by my all time favorite screenwriter, producer, director, Joss Whedon.  The cloth bracelets are integrated with industrial hardware, in the spirit of the show.  Industrial nuts and bolts and chains are the basis of our new collection.
